Drink this “metabolic milkshake” in morning to spike metabolism all day

Here’s something delicious I've tried recently...
I start my day by treating myself to a “dessert” first thing in the morning!
Why the heck would I do THAT?  Doesn’t that kill your metabolism and pack on the fat?
Nope.

That’s because this is no ordinary dessert (see recipe below), it:
  • Turns ON the “burn fat” signal in all your cells...
  • Turns OFF the “eat more food” signal in your belly...
  • And cranks UP your metabolism, energy and thinking speed...
So instead of fighting off hunger, turning grumpy, and struggling with fog and fatigue like most...
I get to spend the rest of my day calm and in control, razor-sharp and feeling like I can tackle the world.
How would you rather spend your day?
This recipe is so delicious, every day feels like a cheat day.
I call it my “metabolic milkshake” and here it is:
Start with a scoop (14g) of chocolate-flavored grass-fed whey protein  to boost energy:
  • It fuels your metabolism with amino acids it uses to convert body fat into energy...
  • Studies show it controls hunger and cravings so you eat less during the day...
  • It provides the protein building-blocks to keep your skin, bones and muscles young...
Second, add in a handful of raw almonds to provide a satisfying crunch and put the brakes on aging:
  • They’re loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that fight inflammation...
  • They’ve got tons of flavonoids -- powerful antioxidants that reverse cellular rusting...
  • Studies show they not only reduce “bad cholesterol”, but also directly shrink belly fat...
Third, pour in half a can of full-fat organic coconut milk to shift your brain into 1st gear:
  • It’s rich in medium chain triglycerides – special fats that are like rocket fuel for your brain...
  • It’s naturally sweet and full of a type of healthy saturated fat that actually lowers your bad cholesterol...
  • Studies show it aids weight loss by helping your metabolism burn fat while keeping you full...
Last Step:  Toss everything into a blender, throw in some ice, mix it up and... voila!  Throw a shot of espresso in the blender too if you want more of a mocha flavor.
You’ve got a chocolatey, decadent, crunchy “dessert” that gets your day started right.
I simply love this new “metabolic milkshake”...
WARNING:  You can completely wipe out the metabolic benefits of this shake IF during the rest of your day, you make the same two mistakes I see 90%+ of people make:
First, they mistakenly eat “high fiber” foods that in reality, slow down metabolism.
Second, they avoid blood-sugar increasing foods that, crazy as it sounds, can help stimulate metabolism.
But most importantly, both these mistakes can crush levels of a little-known metabolic hormone.
Boosting levels of this hormone is the secret behind why the “metabolic milkshake” works so well.

Let me know what you think of the recipe – I’m sure you love the taste... and the extra energy!

This Was One Tough Workout!

High intensity outdoor workouts, kettlebell training, and more...kettlebell workouts
by Mike Geary, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist

The other day I was in the mood to mix things up a little with my workouts and it was a nice sunny day, so I decided to skip the gym and take my workout outside for the day.

So I packed up my two 53-lb kettlebells and my 70-lb kettlebell, and headed to a local park that also has a nice hill that a some local people go to for running hill sprints.
I've gotta tell you, the workout I came up with was pretty simple, but thoroughly kicked my a**!  If you're interested in a high intensity workout that'll strip off body fat fast, keep in mind the format of this workout and use the same or similar exercises based on what you have available.
Note: I used kettlebells, but you can also use dumbbells if you don't have kb's.
Here's what I did:
The workout was done in circuit fashion where I moved to the next exercise with little to no rest.
1a. kettlebell double clean & presses (both arms simultaneously)
1b. 1-arm kettlebell snatches with each arm

1c. kettlebell 2-arm bent over rows
1d. kettlebell 2-arm swings
1e. hill sprint up/down

8 reps of each exercise; repeated circuit 8X

I did 8 reps of each exercise and moved almost immediately to the next exercise in each circuit. After each circuit, I rested about 2 minutes until I caught my breath and felt ready for the next round.
I kept repeating this circuit until I did 8 sets total of each exercise. All said and done, I think the workout took me about 45 minutes... and holy crap was I drenched in sweat and whooped!
Warning: unless you're in top shape, do NOT attempt 8 sets of this type of workout... it is VERY tough and that's a high volume of work unless you're already accustomed to higher intensity workouts.  Just attempting 3 or 4 sets the first time you try this will usually whip most trainees.
By the way, if you don't have kettlebells yet, I highly suggest getting at least one or two to have at your house. They are very convenient to use when you don't feel like going to the gym and just want to blast out a quick workout at home or outside. My Kettlebells were definitely one of the best investments I've ever made in training tools that will last me for life.

Another recent review of the Truth about

Six Pack Abs Program
I continue to receive some great reviews coming in with the awesome results customers are getting using the techniques in the Truth about Six Pack Abs package. Here's another that came in the other day:
"Mike:
Thank you for changing the way I workout. After years of fooling myself into thinking I was getting a good workout, your book, The Truth About Abs, has revitalized not only my workouts but also my life. Working out regularly for over 10 years, I became increasingly frustrated at my lack of progress.
Despite doing over an hour of cardio at least three times a week and lifting three times a week as well, I wasn't in good shape. In fact, I was having trouble getting my wind when I played my weekly hockey games. Also, despite my workout attempts, I was also getting what you have termed as the "skinny fat" appearance.
Seeing no outward or inward results, I sunk into such a rut I was ready to quit exercising. That was when a friend recommended your ebook.   After only a month-and-a-half of doing the routines diagrammed in your book, my physical appearance has improved dramatically. Not only that, but my endurance has increased to the point that I can handle a full hockey game and not get gassed. In fact, I get stronger as the game goes on. Just that alone was well worth the $40 I spent.
Following your diet tips has also given me more energy throughout the day. I no longer "crash" halfway through my work day and no longer crave the sugary foods I used to. The belly I have been trying to battle is shrinking by the day. After years of working out, I am only now finally getting compliments for how "toned and ripped" I appear.
Once again, thanks for giving me that boost I so needed in my workouts and for improving my quality of life. I would (and have) recommended your book to anyone stuck in the same situation as I was just months ago."

How To Build Muscle Fast:

41 Tips to Gain 41 Pounds Of Rock-Solid Lean Muscle Mass in 6 Months

By Vince DelMonte - Author of No-Nonsense Muscle Building

This article will give you at least 41 tips and ideas for gaining more muscle and getting more ripped than you can imagine.
build more muscleMuscle building expert Vince DelMonte has helped over 50,000 skinny guys and consults with fitness experts all around the world on the most critical and supporting elements to build muscle mass and to experience consistent muscle growth.
In this article, Vince unmasks his own secrets that he used for building 41 pounds of solid muscle in only 6 months – without any drugs or steroids, without bogus supplements, and while training less total hours than before.
Find out his advanced muscle building strategies on how to build muscle, fast!
Whether you approach your physique as a hobby or a job, you should not leave any element to chance and hope it works.  In order to defeat plateaus and forge a ripped and muscular body you need all the tips and tricks you can get.  None of these techniques will work alone but by combining as many together as possible you’ll see a huge difference in your muscle growth – faster than before.
1. Begin with 3-4 full body weight training workouts per week.  Max of one hour per session.  This is a great level to make sure you don't overtrain and harm your results.  Any more than this could be counterproductive.
2. Take your body weight in pounds and multiply it by 15 to determine your daily caloric intake if you want to gain weight.

3. Perform only 1 exercise per body part each full-body workout but perform a different exercise for each body part every workout.  By the end of the week you’ll have hit each muscle group three times from three different angles.

4. Consume carbohydrates in a 2:1 ratio to protein after your workout in liquid form (a good post workout shake).

5. Perform each set to muscular failure.

6. Use a training journal and track your progress.

7. Drink at least 4-6 liters of water each day.

8. Vary your rep and set schemes more frequently than any other training variable.

9. Focus on exploding up on the concentric portion of your movement and taking 3-4 seconds for the eccentric portion of your program.  Most people lower the weight way too fast!

10. Aim to build about 4-6 pounds of lean muscle mass each 1-2 months.  Anything more will be fat gain.

11. Eat at least 10-15 serving of fruits and vegetables each day.  Some veggies even contain specific phytonutrients that can fight abdominal fat

12. Focus on compound movements for 80-90% of your workouts.

13. Alternate between dumbbells and barbells every 2 weeks.

14. Only change an exercise when you plateau on two workouts in a row.

15. Enter a fitness model or bodybuilding show or transformation contest to keep you motivated.  Don't underestimate the power of a deadline to meet your goals!

16. Follow a specific program for at least 12-16 weeks before trying your next one.

17. Pyramiding your sets to consistently increase your strength 5% each week.

18. Consume a variety of whole eggs, chicken, lean beef, fish and whole-milk throughout the day for high quality (bioavailable) muscle building protein.  And yes, whole eggs are better for you than egg whites, explained here.

19. Use a training partner for motivation and an extra push to experience faster muscular growth.

20. Never train hungry if you want to build muscle fast.
Before we get to tips 21 - 41, make sure to sign up for Mike Geary's fat burning email tips... you don't want to miss these if you want to get lean and ripped:

21. Concentrate your carbohydrates when your body needs them most –- breakfast, pre-workout and post workout.

22. Ensure you do the squat and the deadlift each week to increase the release of growth hormone and testosterone.

23. Hire a personal trainer if you have never received professional coaching on technique and form.

24. Stretch at least half the amount of time that you lift.  If you lift 3 hours a week, schedule at least 1.5 hours of yoga or static stretching.

25. Train a muscle group through it's entire range of motion to stimulate muscle size.  There is a time and place for partial range of motion training, but most of the time full ROM wins.

26. Use a 3-day a week 20-minute interval cardio plan, post-workout, to maximize the muscle to fat ratio while bulking.

27. Train your most underdeveloped muscle group first in each workout.

28. Avoid processed food, packaged food and fast food.

29. Avoid protein bars and any muscle building supplement that has sucralose, aspartame, or other artificial sweeteners.  Also avoid bars that have soy protein or any corn syrups.  If you haven't heard, eating too much processed soy can harm your hormone levels.

30. Get at least 8-hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.  You'd be suprised how important this is for keeping balanced hormones.

31. Don’t be afraid to overload your muscles with maximal resistance and miss your goal reps.

32. Consume a combination of olive oil, fish oil (or the more powerful Krill Oil), coconut oil, mixed nuts and natural peanut butter or almond butter each day to make sure you get ample healthy fats for testosterone and other muscle building hormone production.  Getting enough fats is key to keeping high testosterone levels.

33. Take a complete week off after 12-16 weeks of training.  This is vitally important for allowing your body to recover and not burn out.

34. Get a spotter to help you with your heaviest set.

35. Have a training program.  Never go to the gym without a plan.

36. Perform 5-10 minutes of dynamic stretching before each weight training workout.

37. Schedule regular ART-therapy or massage therapy to avoid injuries.

38. Cold shower after every intense weight training workout.  It sucks, but it works. Some studies show increased muscle recovery from this technique.

39. Eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass each day.  I know there's conflicting info about the proper amount of protein, but results speak, and I know plenty of bodybuilders who swear by this rule.

40. The core of your workout should revolve around the major multi-joint lifts: squats, deadlifts, rows, presses, pull ups, dips and weighted core work.

41. Train with someone bigger and stronger than you. You'll be challenged and motivated to work out harder.

Harvard Study Shows an Obscure Trick

Harvard Study Shows an Obscure Trick to Make ANY Exercise Program or Workout MUCH More Effective

Hotel cleaning attendants got "tricked" by researchers into burning more fat in 4 weeks. They also lowered their blood pressure, and improved their waist to hip ratio. This article explains what factor caused these benefits!

by Mike Geary, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer
Author of best-sellers:  The Fat Burning Kitchen
&  Do This, Burn Fat: 101 Sneaky Weight Loss Tricks

I've read about this very interesting Harvard University study about exercise multiple times in the past, but I was just recently reminded about this study again while reading the fascinating book called 59 Seconds by Richard Wiseman.
Pay attention, because this actually shows a pretty powerful trick that you can use to literally make ANY workout or exercise program a LOT more effective and results producing.
According to the book 59 Seconds, here's how this study was carried out:
Researchers at Harvard University studied over 80 hotel room cleaning attendants from 7 different hotels.  The hotel room attendants naturally received a lot of exercise from their daily jobs, which included cleaning an average of 15 rooms per day at about 25 minutes per room.  This work involves a good deal of exercise in carrying things, scrubbing, lifting objects, vacuuming, and so on.
The researchers knew the hotel maids led an active lifestyle from their work, but also questioned whether most of the maids may not realize that their work was actually good for their health.  The researchers set out to study the effects on the hotel attendants of making them very aware of how beneficial the exercise they got while working was for their health, and to see if this increased the results that they actually received from the exercise.
Basically, the question was... Would telling them that their work was great exercise improve their health, lower their blood pressure, and help them to lose weight compared to the hotel attendants that didn't realize their work was in fact "exercise"?
The hotel attendants were split into 2 groups:
1. This group was informed about the benefits of exercise and told how many calories they were burning while doing their hotel cleaning work each day. They were specifically told how many calories activities such as changing sheets, vacumming, and scrubbing bathrooms were burning each hour.
The researchers also wanted this information to stick in their heads daily, so they gave the attendants a handout showing the quantities of calories they were burning doing each activity of their jobs.  They were also shown a poster daily that reinforced how many calories they were burning.
2.  The control group of hotel cleaning attendants was simply informed of the benefits of exercise, but were NOT told how many calories they were burning doing their work, and also were NOT told that their work actually constituted a good form of exercise.
The researchers studied the existing lifestyles of all of the participants in both groups as well as giving them various health tests, including weigh-ins.
The study was conducted for 4 weeks.  The researchers made sure that none of the participants had actually changed their exercise habits, smoking, or eating habits outside of work.  This assured that there was no external lifestyle factor that could have accounted for the results of the study.
In addition, the hotel managers assured that the workloads of both groups stayed the same throughout the entire experiment.
Here are the VERY interesting results:
It turned out that the group of hotel cleaning attendants that was informed daily about the calorie-burning effects of their normal work routines ended up losing a significant amount of weight, lowered their body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio, and decreased their blood pressure.
The control group of hotel attendants that was not told about the calories they burned while doing their work showed NONE of these improvements.
Wow... very interesting huh!
Remember that each of these groups received the SAME amount of exercise and did not alter their lifestyle, eating habits, drinking habits, smoking, or anything else.  The only thing that was different between the 2 groups was simply that the one group was constantly being reminded of how beneficial the exercise during their work was for their health and how many calories they were burning, and therefore their minds were busy believing in the benefits of it.
This actually doesn't surprise me... this is classic placebo effect at work here, and reinforces how powerful our brains are in relation to the results we get from exercise, food, supplements, etc.
How to use this info to burn more fat in your workouts, build more lean muscle, and improve your health more from exercise and nutrition
There's a good lesson in this study.  If you strongly believe in your mind that the workouts that you are doing are drastically improving your body, your results will increase dramatically from those workouts.
The trick I've used over the years is to really "get mental" during your workouts and believe strongly that the exercise you are doing is transforming your body into a lean chiseled machine. (This is assuming that you're actually doing legit workouts such as Truth About Abs routines and not just wasting time reading a magazine while pedaling away on a boring exercise bike or treadmill).
So, if you want to burn more fat, not only do you need to workout intensely (for your individual capabilities), but you also need to mentally visualize the results you're getting, the bodyfat you are burning, and really strongly believe in how powerful the workout routine that you are doing really is for your body.
Along the same lines, if your goal is to build more muscle, then you really need to strongly believe in your mind at how powerfully your workouts are helping you to build muscle.
And this can be applied to your food intake too!
Don't underestimate how powerful your mind really is... If you are eating truly healthy foods such as those detailed in my Fat-Burning Kitchen manual, make sure that you are also actively thinking in your mind about how those foods are dramatically helping your body, making you stronger, making you leaner, improving your energy and health, and so on.
Don't ignore this... this will drastically improve your results if you actively think about how truly healthy the foods you are eating every day are and how they are changing your body.  This is assuming that you actually are eating truly healthy foods every day.
Another benefit of this "mental programming" is that it trains you to actually want to avoid junk foods, because you want to be able to think about how everything you eat is improving your body instead.
So there you go... an interesting study that shows how you can legitimately increase your results from your exercise and nutrition by just actively thinking about the benefits of both every day!
But this trick I just showed you is just one of many more unique and powerful tricks to burn more fat, boost your metabolism and get the body shape that you've always wanted...
Here's What to do Now...
On the next page below, you're going to discover some extremely SIMPLE tricks that you can apply to your daily life to BALANCE your hormones, BOOST your metabolism, and fire up your fat-burning machine inside your body...  there are 101 total "tricks" you can use to flatten your stomach faster and get lean, including these:
